Helena Córdoba Cornudella (born in Barcelona, ES, 1997), is an artistic director, conceptor and show producer specialized in the creation of multidisciplinary projects combining performing arts with expressive multimedia resources.
She was trained simultaneously in both multimedia engineering (“UPC”, university) and professional dance (Royal Academy of Dance, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing & different dance companies).
Her ability to combine the abstract and creative thinking with the technical knowledge has allowed her to take an important role in a lot of national and international mixed arts projects under the artistic name of «Messcellany», such as the music show “Cruz de Navajas” (where she worked as a head of video), Ballet Contemporani de Catalunya (artistic co-director and designer of a few productions), Digital Leap (international mixed arts seminars), IDEAL Barcelona (immersive room creative and operator) among others.
She as well founded her own multidisciplinary company, “FUSE”, operative worldwide with a base in Barcelona, that has been recognized and supported by renowned entities such as Terrassa Arts Escèniques, Cluster Audiovisual de Catalunya, Dansa Metropolitana and Group Balañá.
Helena, known for her skills on videomapping and choreography applied to spectacular stagings, bases her work in the color and shape psychology, visual content that she designs herself in order to connect with the audience through the emotional channel and make them reflect about moral/social importance topics.
Currently, Helena is working as an assistant head of visuals at Cirque du Soleil’s Big Top touring show “ECHO” in North America, while she still coordinates and participates in the creation of other mixed arts projects locally and remotely.
“Everything is temporary, except for change. In this mutant world we live in, may we create not to put our individuals first, but to remain, and thus, we need to embrace this mutation and understand what lingers on it.
I want to trascend by being a personal safe space, and how I intend to reach my goal, is to invite the receiver to discover theirselves and find comfort on their mental and emotional revelations.
The way I work towards this goal is simple: in order to communicate and being listened at, there is no guarantee to succeed through displaying. As a powerful resource, I prefer to establish a direct bond with the most intimate part of the receiver: their emotional channel. But to understand how this subconscious space works, we must part from the fact that we should not use the same language we are used to, but we need to impact through stimulation.
And what triggers that stimulation? COLOR – SHAPE – MOVEMENT. {CONNOTATION}

The color is the most powerful resource to express a message: it allows to connect with the receiver through the emotional unconscious channel.
Everything lives within the music: body movement, visual composition, directions, transitions and changes, choreography can be found anywhere.
